Why am I in Santa Barbara?


» I am a Spanish, Literature and Literary Translation Professor
at Westmont College.
My colleagues in the Modern Languages Departament:
» I also give lectures on different topics (The Caves at Altamira,
Junipero Serra in Querétaro) at Westmont and also at other schools in the area...
...among them, Anacapa School in Santa Barbara, and Dunn School in Los Olivos.
» I take part in Seminars and Conferences on various subjects, usually related to Mexico.
For example, The Mexican-American War, organized by VISTAS.
» I am a literary translator, member of the American Literary Translators Association.
» I also provide tutoring in Spanish and private Spanish classes in Santa Barbara,
to children, adults and families.
